Jen Shewring creates abstract florals and landscape artworks to bring nature indoors, aiming to enhance joy and happiness as we connect with the outdoors.
Jen is a Melbourne artist inspired by the unique shapes and shadows of her local trees and flowers and the lush landscapes of Red Hill. Her semi-abstract, impressionist style features expressive brushstrokes and vivid colours that capture nature’s joyful energy.
Outdoors is where Jen feels most at home, especially in the countryside where sunlight on the land or the bright colours of flowers inspire her to paint. She uses varied textures and hues to express these feelings, allowing each painting to develop naturally into something beautiful. Driven by her passion for environmental protection, she hopes her art reminds viewers of the importance of preserving our natural wonders.
Her recent achievements include collaborating with the TV show ‘THE BLOCK’, where eight of her works were featured in renovated homes. Jen’s art has also appeared in Grand Designs Australia and Marie Claire magazines. She was a finalist in competitions such as the Petite Collection judged by Ken Done, the Bluethumb Art Prize, and the Art to Art Unearthed Art Prize.
Jen is passionate about connecting with the art loving community and regularly participates in The Affordable Art Fairs across Australia and other exhibitions throughout the year.
‘I love connecting with art lovers and the joy they experience when they take home my work.’ – Jen xx
