Paula Mackay

Paula is a self-taught artist with a BA in Visual Arts from Monash University and a background as a creative in the corporate world. Working from her home studio in Naarm (Melbourne), she paints Australian landscapes, and depictions of native flora and fauna, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of Australia, the red centre, the Australian coast and countryside. Her bold works are known for their strong compositions and bright, contrasting palettes. Paula has exhibited widely across Australia through galleries, art shows, and interior designers. In 2023, she won Best in Show at Kyneton Gallery, and in 2025 she was a finalist in both The Next Big Thing at Toowoomba Gallery, the Doyle’s Art Prize and in the Lethbridge Salon des Refuses.
