Ricci McAuliffe is an emerging Abstract Expressionist painter based in the Yarra Valley, whose fondness for local botanicals has been adapted into her paintings. McAuliffe explores the use of various mediums, often building up layers of sand cement behind the paint to create visual depth and texture.
McAuliffe is well-known as the founder of Ricci’s Bikkies, the much loved Australian Pita Bread Crisp found in supermarkets across Australia. Her new found skill and love for painting has inspired her to take a break from the food industry and immerse herself in the arts.

Painting in a studio above her biscuit factory, McAuliffe draws inspiration from the surrounding river gums and huge eucalyptus trees to create a sense of romantic nostalgia in her work.
